Full Job Description
Job Summary:

The Quality Performance Management position implements, trains and provides direct QMS support to company assets and Business Units as required. Augments quality functions: assurance (QA), control (QC), inspection (QI), and optimization of industrial operations units to ensure products meet regulatory, customer and internal standards. This position reports to the Director of Quality.

Essential Job Functions:

Quality Strategy & Leadership: "Train the Trainers", implement and monitor the plant's quality plan aligned with site performance goals and SIOP/BD. Support CAPEX and OPEX initiatives as required. Champion a "zero defect" culture in leadership, manufacturing, supply chain, safety and engineering.

Regulatory Compliance: Establish, maintain and monitor plant compliance with industry-specific standards such as ISO 9001:2015/2026, AS9100D/IA9100, AS9102, ISO 17025 and NADCAP.

Team Management: Lead and mentor plan Quality personnel (managers, specialists and compliance). Contribute as required to performance evaluations, recruiting, retention and succession planning.

Continuous Improvement: Develop metrics for initiatives based on KPIs (First Pass Yield, Defects Per Unit, Scrap, Rejection, Rework, Delivery in Full on Time) using methodologies, e.g. Lean Six Sigma, DMAIC.

Root Cause Analysis: Train inspectors and teams on investigations into non-conforming (NC, OOT, OOS) and/or defective products using tools like PSA-3, PDCA, 8-D, Ishikawa diagram and 5-Why.

Audit Facilitation: Act as the field liaison and senior POC advocate (plant quality) for internal and external regulatory audits and contract reviews, ensure all plants remain "inspection ready".

Supplier Quality Liaison: Oversee plant supplier quality programs, including qualifying new vendors, performing audits, and managing supplier corrective actions (SCARs and CAPAs).

Schedule:

The standard schedule is Monday-Friday, 8am - 5pm, with the flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed based on workload demands.

Pay Range:

$75,000-$125,000 annually

Qualifications, Education, and Experience

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a technical/STEM discipline (Masters preferred)
  • 10-15 years' experience in manufacturing quality with at least 4-6 years in management role
  • Required Skills: software proficiency in QMS, Statistical Process Control (SPC), ERP, MS/Office 365 Suite
  • Preferred Skills: leads by example (empathetic, servant), effective interpersonal communicator, motivated, goal-oriented, data-driven decision maker
  • Certifications: ASQ (or SQA) Quality Manager, Six Sigma Yellow Belt, Certified Quality Engineer (Certified Black Belt, Certified Master Black Belt, or CMQ/OE preferred)


Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.


Working Conditions

  • Remote position
  • Frequent Travel up to 75% of the time to Albers Industrials Facilities to include: Accident, MD; Amarillo, TX; Baltimore, MD; Grand Prairie, TX; Hayden, ID; Tucson, AZ.
  • Flexibility to adapt to peak workloads and tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
