This Dayton, OH-area role leads plant quality, overseeing all quality systems, certifications, and continuous improvement efforts. The position manages quality staff, ensures supplier quality, and requires prior Quality Manager experience with expertise in root cause analysis and ISO standards.
Responsibilities Not Limited To:- Establish and maintain quality systems (SPC, PPAP, root cause)
- Lead quality team and continuous improvement initiatives
- Oversee inspections, audits, and supplier quality programs
- Drive corrective actions and reduce defects/costs
- Manage cost of quality, warranties, and market quality
- Track and maintain quality KPIs
Requirements
- Preferred, but not required, working knowledge of mechanical processes utilized in the manufacture of metal/rubber products.
- High-energy, driven professional who has demonstrated quality leadership and people management skills plus exhibits strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Previous management experience required (5-7 years).
- Thorough understanding of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 (5 years).
- Previous experience establishing and analyzing market quality data (3 years).
- Previous continuous improvement background preferred.
- Lean/Six Sigma Black knowledge is preferred.
- Strong understanding of Quality Management Systems and lean manufacturing.
- Lead ISO Auditor
