Job Summary
A growing manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to oversee and continuously improve its quality management systems. This position will be responsible for ensuring products, materials, and manufacturing processes meet established quality standards and customer requirements.
The Quality Manager will lead quality initiatives, oversee audits and corrective actions, support customer and supplier quality activities, and provide leadership to the quality team.
Responsibilities
Manage and continuously improve the company's quality management system.
Establish, maintain, and implement quality policies, procedures, and standards.
Plan and conduct internal quality audits.
Coordinate and support external audits.
Conduct supplier quality audits and follow up on findings.
Investigate quality issues and customer complaints.
Identify root causes of nonconformities and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Monitor CAPA effectiveness and ensure issues are properly resolved.
Lead risk assessment and risk-reduction activities.
Prepare quality reports, audit documentation, and management summaries.
Partner with manufacturing, engineering, operations, and other departments to resolve quality issues.
Support production continuity by effectively addressing quality-related problems.
Provide quality guidance and technical support to internal and external stakeholders.
Lead, mentor, and develop members of the quality team.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure compliance with applicable quality standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
10+ years of experience in quality assurance, quality control, or quality management within a manufacturing environment.
2+ years of experience leading or managing a quality function or team.
Strong knowledge of quality management systems and manufacturing processes.
Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and/or ISO 13485:2016.
Experience with internal and external audits.
Experience with CAPA, root-cause analysis, nonconformance management, investigations, and risk assessment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational and documentation skills.
Demonstrated ability to lead and develop quality personnel.
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
