Description
It is the responsibility of the Quality Manager to understand and implement the principles of our Company's product and service quality assurance program, quality evaluation and control. This person will be a key player in two critical areas of the quality chain - Corrective Action follow through and Schroeder's Continuous Improvement efforts. The Quality Manager is responsible for all QA / QC activities at both the Leetsdale and Cumberland Facilities.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Interact with staff, customers and suppliers on a daily basis to help resolve problems and quality issues while assuring that effective corrective action is implemented and suggesting ways to improve the Company's quality efforts.
• Serve as the ISO representative while maintaining the organizations ISO certification.
• Develop, apply and maintain quality requirements and standards for development and manufacturing products while observing ASQ Code of Ethics for Professional Conduct.
• Serve as the primary Quality Assurance resource to department supervisor(s) for problem identification, resolution, loss reporting and continuous improvement.
• Support concurrent Engineering efforts by participating in design development projects representing Quality Assurance and the customer.
• Promote and execute quality standards, inspection processes, test methodology, quality plans, documents and reports.
• Develop, execute and analyze quality-reporting measures.
• Report to management on quality issues, trends and losses.
• Direct internal and external quality audits, customer audits and supplier audits.
• Compiles, writes and delivers training material on quality standards and activities.
• Maintain calibration of measuring equipment and gauges by working with outside lab.
• Work on various continuous improvement projects, bother inter-department and within other departments, relating to quality assurance and incoming inspection in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 standard.
• Maintains QA/QC data within SAP ERP system.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements

Qualifications
• A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, manufacturing engineering, quality engineering or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of ten (10) years QA / QC experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Current CQE (Certified Quality Engineer) certification by ASQ is required within one (1) year of hire.
• Current CMQ/OE (Certified Manager of Quality / Organizational Excellence) certification by ASQ is required within 3 years of hire.
• Knowledge of ISO standards, quality system techniques/methodologies, common statistical tools, leadership principles and quality engineering practices are essential.
• Experience in fluid power industry and/or manufacturing environment is preferred.
Skills and Abilities
• Knowledge of ERP systems; SAP experience is a plus.
Other Requirements:
• Possesses knowledge of inspection and control methods, techniques and documentation.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally when required.
