Full Job Description
The Quality Manager is responsible for supporting organizational adherence to applicable federal, state, and accreditation standards, as well as OSUMC policies, to promote the delivery of safe, effective, and high-quality patient care. The Manager oversees and coordinates operational and administrative functions within the Quality department, including performance improvement activities, policy and procedure support, Quality Council coordination, and preparation of quality reports and summaries for leadership review. The Quality Manager plays a key role in supporting regulatory compliance and survey readiness by assisting with regulatory interpretation, monitoring compliance activities, coordinating documentation and tracers, and supporting corrective action plans in collaboration with department leaders. The Manager supports organization-wide responses to regulatory findings and assists with follow-up activities to ensure sustained compliance. The Manager steps into the role of Quality Director when needed. The role supports the implementation of new programs and services; contributes to initiatives aimed at improving patient outcomes; and serves as an operational liaison with internal stakeholders and external regulatory or accrediting bodies, as assigned. The Quality Manager demonstrates strong critical thinking, sound judgment, and leadership skills in planning, prioritizing, and managing work while ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and organizational policies. The position supports assigned quality and compliance initiatives and reports to the Director of Quality or designee. The Manager needs to have knowledge of and support a High-Reliability Organization. The Manager has accountability and responsibility for all assigned areas and reports to an executive officer. Qualifications Education: Bachelor's required, Master's preferred License/Certifications: OK RN Current License, BLS 5+ years experience
