JOB SUMMARY

The Quality Manager will be responsible for leading and maintaining the facility's Quality Management System to ensure compliance with company, customer, and regulatory requirements. This role will provide direct leadership to the quality inspection team while partnering with Operations, Engineering, and site leadership to drive product quality, process discipline, and operational excellence. Demonstrated experience working effectively in a unionized manufacturing environment, including collaboration with union employees, supervisors, and plant leadership on quality, training, corrective action, and process compliance matters.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Ensure facility compliance with all mandatory quality and product standards and specifications.
  2. Manage and define responsibilities of QA/QC personnel and assign individual tasks as required.
  3. Support senior management with implementation of the Quality Policy and Quality Objectives and ensure that they are communicated and understood by all employees.
  4. Work with the supervisors and managers on the development of, and training to, the facility procedures and work instructions
  5. Ensure that the training matrix and all employee training records are properly maintained.
  6. Manage the calibration program for the facility measurement and test equipment.
  7. Manage facility Internal Audit Process.
  8. Manage document control activities to ensure compliance is maintained.
  9. Oversee the Corrective Action and non-conformance processes.
  10. Manage Third party inspectors, job data packages, and inspection releases as required.
  11. Oversee the annual Management Review
  12. Perform Trend Analysis on NCR'S and CPAR's
  13. Oversee monitoring and measuring equipment calibration programs.
  14. Participate in Material Review Board activities.
  15. Perform failure analysis and written reports in response to Quality Action Requests of products.
  16. Work with plant engineering and production departments in support of continuous improvement activities.
  17. Administer Management of Change and Risk Assessment activities.
  18. Other duties as assigned.


FACILITY/GROUP SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
• Support Quality Management System and industry certification related activities, including inter-facility or supplier audits.
• Serve as QA representative on continuous improvement efforts including Quality & Process Team meetings and associated action items and projects.
• Serve as management representative for facility QA/QC related issues and projects.
• Assist in establishing facility metrics that align with the Senior Leadership and Global Company objectives

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor of Science degree preferred. Educational requirements may be waived in lieu of a minimum of 3 years of QA/QC experience, with at least 1 year in a leadership role.
  • Demonstrated experience working effectively in a unionized manufacturing environment, including collaboration with union employees, supervisors, and plant leadership on quality, training, corrective action, and process compliance matters.


TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
  • Experience with reinforced plastics is highly desirable, as is familiarity with ASME, ASTM or other industry related codes and standards.
  • Experience working within an ISO 9001-certified Quality Management System required. Experience supporting ISO 9001 audits, management reviews, corrective actions, document control, and continual improvement activities strongly preferred.
