Job Description:

Establishes and coordinates the collection, analysis, and presentation of data for all areas of Quality Management. Provides consultation for physician quality improvement and acts as a liaison to medical staff and hospital departments to support quality initiatives. Ensures timely submission of accurate data to comparative databases for effective benchmarking and regulatory compliance. Prepares and maintains the annual quality management plan and prioritizes facility-wide quality improvement efforts. Facilitates organization of quality and safety data reports internally and externally, and communicates results to all stakeholders. Reviews, evaluates, and provides feedback to departments regarding monitoring priorities based on hospital objectives. Orients new employees and medical staff members in Quality Improvement and regulatory compliance, and provides ongoing education as needed. Serves as the Patient Safety Officer, reviewing event/incident trends and safety indicators, and preparing reports for various committees. Manages information and maintains records relevant to survey preparation, and regularly appraises administration of survey readiness. Other duties as assigned.

Schedule: Full Time Days.

Shift: Dayshift Monday- Friday 8:00am - 5pm.

Location: Altamonte Springs with some travel within area.

• Excellent communication/motivational skills, including the ability to present information to both large and small groups. [Required]• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel), Access, and computer operations. [Required]• Strong professional, organizational, and interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, diplomacy, tact, conflict management, and delegation skills required for effective and creative leadership at all organizational levels, including with physicians, committees, leadership, patients, and their families. [Required]• Ability to communicate effectively with outside agencies, regulators, third party payers, and maintain professional interactions. [Required]• Human Resources Management: Effectively hire, coach/develop staff, manage resources and performance, handle employee relations, and supervise within established policies, procedures, and legislation. [Required]• Able to work and perform duties with minimal supervision, manage time, conflicting priorities, stress, and professional development effectively. [Required]• Knowledge of regulatory aspects of healthcare, quality improvement (QI) principles, federal and state regulatory requirements, and the ability to apply QA/QI principles to improve quality of care. [Required]• Experience with Electronic Medical Records, preferably Cerner or Epic. Preferred knowledge of RCA2 or HFACS-RCA. [Preferred]• Demonstrates strong problem-solving skills, analysis, decision-making, planning, and organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. [Required]• Ability to foster a team environment, validate orientation and training for new team members, and interact with everyone in a considerate, helpful, and courteous manner. [Required]• Proficient in data graphing, data collection, and has extensive working knowledge of unit operations, patient care policies/procedures, and methods for analyzing patient care data relevant to Performance Improvement. [Required]• Accountable for appropriate utilization of supplies and equipment, demonstrates initiative, flexibility, integrity, and diplomacy, and maintains confidentiality with sensitive data. [Required]• Knowledge of current federal and state quality measures, legislative and regulatory requirements. [Preferred]
