EIS Wire and Cable is seeking an analytical and hands-on Quality Manager to lead quality assurance, quality control, compliance, and continuous-improvement activities within a wire and cable manufacturing environment.
What we are looking for:The successful candidate will be highly detail-oriented, comfortable working with production personnel and customers, and capable of converting manufacturing and quality data into clear conclusions and measurable actions. This role requires strong knowledge of Excel or comparable data-analysis tools, including the ability to consolidate information from multiple sources and produce meaningful reports, Pareto analyses, trends, dashboards, and management-review data.
Key Responsibilities:- AS9100 Transition: Preparation, implementation, and maintenance of the company's AS9100.
- Support management reviews with accurate performance data and documented follow-up actions.
- Experience with establishing and maintaining a structured system for collecting and analyzing quality data from production, inspection, customers, suppliers, and internal processes.
- Monitor first-pass yield, scrap, rework, nonconformances, customer returns, defects, inspection results, and on-time corrective-action completion.
- Lead or support root-cause investigations and formal corrective-action responses.
- Maintain objective evidence supporting product conformity and corrective-action effectiveness.
- Lead root-cause analysis using appropriate methods such as 5 Why, fishbone analysis, fault-tree analysis, 8D, Pareto analysis, process mapping, and trend analysis.
- Ensure corrective actions address systemic causes rather than only correcting individual defects.
- Maintain a disciplined corrective-action log with clear status and objective evidence.
- Support supplier-quality activities, including supplier corrective actions, incoming inspection, material nonconformances, and supplier performance monitoring.
- Lead and develop quality personnel, inspectors, technicians, and other employees
- Establish quality procedures to train new and existing employees, inspection requirements, nonconforming-product controls, documentation, and customer-specific requirements.
- Promote a quality culture based on prevention, fact-based decisions, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Work effectively with production while maintaining independent quality judgment.
- Communicate quality issues clearly to both hourly employees and executive management.
Required Qualification:- Bachelor's degree in quality, engineering, manufacturing, operations, business, or equivalent experience.
- Five or more years of progressive quality experience in manufacturing.
- Experience managing or substantially supporting an AS9100 quality management system.
- Demonstrated experience with quality metrics, data analysis, corrective action, internal auditing, and nonconformance management.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including functions, tables, filters, pivot tables, charts, data validation, and data cleanup.
- Experience creating management reports, dashboards, Pareto charts, trend charts, and performance summaries.
Preferred Qualification:- Experience with AS9100 implementation.
- Experience in aerospace, defense, medical, automotive, electronics, or other highly regulated manufacturing.
