Full Job Description
Position Summary:

The Quality Manager leads and invigorates our Quality System. Established with ISO-[redacted] Certification, the Quality Manager is responsible for advancing our Quality system to broaden our market base and satisfy customer requirements and expectations.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manages and directs the daily activities of the Quality function and team.
  • Provides leadership and supervision for quality assurance support to ensure that product is manufactured in accordance with customer and company quality requirements.
  • Exhibits strong knowledge in all facets of ISO [redacted] regulations and fulfills all application and documentation requirements to provide key performance indicators to overall performance.
  • Interacts with other key aspects of the business, e.g., Sales, Engineering and Operations and reviews, assists and reports on various Quality issues or requirements.
  • Represents the Quality system in all aspects, including customer, other internal departments, and senior management.
  • Oversees ISO [redacted] Quality Certification, auditing process and required cataloguing of information.
  • Maintains strong base knowledge of ASME Code for Boilers and Pressure vessels.
  • Cites and documents all corrective actions and communication of issues based on supplier, engineering, or production issues.
  • Demonstrates a basic knowledge of APQP process, with the future goal of IATF Certification.
  • Oversees of all Customer Quality audits, internal or external.
  • Maintains knowledge of Quality Equipment to include CMM, Faro Arm, Micrometers, Calipers, etc.
  • Manages all Quality measuring tools and calibration of tools in accordance with ISO procedures.
  • Performs additional projects as assigned by V.P. of Operations.
  • Champions and adheres to all Company policies and procedures.

Knowledge, Abilities and Skills:
  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering, technology, or associated discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in an ASME Code manufacturing environment.
  • Proven history of successful quality audits.
  • Strong problem solving and decision-making abilities with the ability to work with other departments to successfully handle quality production issues.
  • Strong computer skills: Microsoft Office, ERP System (JobBoss), and documentation software (Docuware).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to successfully interact with other departments, customers, and suppliers.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with others, motivate employees and enhance change management.
  • Maintains highest ethical and credibility standards.
