Quality Manager

RESPONSIBLITIES:
  • Quality assurance: analyzes, evaluates, and presents information concerning factors such as business situations, production capabilities, manufacturing problems, economic trends, and cost associated with quality assurance.
  • Suggest and debates alternative methods and procedures in solving problems both internal and external.
  • Develops initial and subsequent modifications of product quality assurance program to delineate areas of responsibility, personnel requirements, and operational procedures within program, according to and consistent with company goals and policies.
  • Participates in management meetings with site managerial/supervisory personnel to establish, delineate, and review program policies, to coordinate functions and operations between departments, and to establish responsibilities and procedures for attaining objectives.
  • Reviews technical problems and procedures encountered and recommends solutions to problems or changes in procedures.
  • Develops and analyzes statistical data to determine present standards and establish proposed quality and reliability expectancy of finished product.
  • Formulates and maintains quality control objectives and coordinates objectives with production procedures in cooperation with other managers to maximize product reliability and minimize costs.
  • Directs, through intermediate personnel, workers engaged in inspection and testing activities to ensure continuous control over materials, facilities, and products.
  • Serves as Quality Management Representative for ISO-9001; champions ISO-9001 conformance in department.
  • Appoint an EMR within the Quality Department per Environmental Procedure EMP-4.4.1-01.
  • Provides quality characteristics during product or process development to meet customer expectations.
  • Coordinates development and maintenance of the Quality Manual and Quality System requirements.
  • Addresses and follows through with in-house and customer issues.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university
  • 5+ years management experience in a manufacturing environment
  • 7+ years experience in quality
