Position Overview: Quality Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Quality Manager to lead our quality assurance initiatives at our Shakopee, Minnesota location. In this pivotal role, you will take ownership of developing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive quality assurance and control systems to ensure optimal product performance and customer satisfaction. The role requires a strategic thinker who can drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing defects, process inefficiencies, and warranty costs, thereby supporting manufacturing excellence and cost-effectiveness.

The Quality Manager will play a vital role in defining and refining manufacturing processes that balance cost management with maintaining the highest quality and safety standards. You will champion a culture of quality and operational excellence, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver manufacturing practices that are not only effective but also safe and repeatable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and ensure compliance with ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 certifications by leading rigorous internal and external quality audits. Identify corrective and preventative actions that foster continuous quality improvements.
  • Develop, maintain, and enforce process and document controls in alignment with global quality policies. Utilize tools such as FMEA to evaluate risks and lead process improvements.
  • Oversee product certification processes to guarantee compliance with all relevant regulatory and industry standards, ensuring Gamma Vacuum products meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Collaborate across teams and departments to support global quality mission and objectives, providing local expertise and leadership.
  • Generate timely and accurate reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs) and other quality metrics for executive leadership and global stakeholders. Identify opportunities and drive quality improvement projects.
  • Lead issue management by monitoring quality control data, test results, customer feedback, and non-conformances. Manage issues from identification through resolution and help implement global corrective actions.
  • Represent Gamma Vacuum in customer quality and reliability discussions, including hosting customer audits and visits to demonstrate our commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
  • Assess training needs and deliver quality system-related training sessions to enhance organizational awareness and competency in quality and safety practices.
  • Ensure full compliance with safety policies and local legislation within areas of responsibility, actively promoting a safe working environment.


Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality management, or a related discipline is preferred. Equivalent substantial experience will be considered.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in manufacturing operations and quality processes, preferably within technical production environments.
  • Deep knowledge of ISO 9001 standards, Lean Six Sigma methodologies, Process Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, and other continuous improvement techniques.
  • Proven experience working with both customers and suppliers to ensure quality alignment and process integration.
  • Exceptional communication skills, including public speaking, technical report writing, and the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders across all organizational levels.
  • Proven leadership ability in conducting training programs to promote quality and safety awareness, and drive behavioral change.
  • Authorization to work lawfully in the United States is required.
