Job Requirements

The Quality Manager is responsible for managing the plant quality system designed to ensure continuous production of product consistent with established standards, customer specifications, and product goals. This position is responsible for all quality assurance related internal audits in adherence with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure a high level of internal and external customer service.
  • Investigate (and correct) customer issues and complaints relating to quality.
  • Serve as liaison with customer issues per 24-5-30 program.
  • Manage Quality Management System (QMS) per IATF 16949, ISO9000:2015 & 17025 requirements.
  • Ensure lab is maintained per 17025 requirements.
  • Supervise workers engaged in inspection and testing activities to ensure high productivity and high technical integrity.
  • Develop and analyze statistical data and product specifications to determine standards and to establish quality and reliability expectancy of finished products.
  • Provide technical and statistical expertise to teams.
  • Formulate, document, and maintain quality control standards and on-going quality control objectives.
  • Coordinate objectives with production procedures in cooperation with other quality managers to maximize product reliability and minimize costs.
  • Create, document, and implement inspection criteria and procedures.
  • Interpret quality control philosophy to key personnel within company.
  • Provide, and oversee, inspection activity for product throughout production cycle.
  • Apply total quality management tools and approaches to analytical and reporting processes.
  • Interact with vendors to ensure quality of all purchased parts.
  • Perform internal audits and address nonconformities.
  • Create and direct environmental test functions and applications.
  • Maintain active role on internal continuous improvement teams.
  • Design, develop and implement quality control training programs.
  • Performs other duties or special projects as required or as assigned.


Qualifications/ Experience:
  • Bachelors' degree in Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent.
  • Seven (7) or more years of quality experience. Manufacturing experience a plus.
  • Six Sigma Black Belt with hands-on, site-wide application.
  • Internal Audit qualifications to IATF 16949 and ISO9001:2015 auditing.
  • Metrology knowledge a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong time management and priorities management skills
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Computer literate with knowledge of Excel.
  • BPCS experience a plus. Ability to interact with vendors and internal customers Metrics driven


Compensation:
  • 117k-135k
  • Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
