As our next Quality Engineering Specialist, you will be at the forefront of managing supply-chain quality at the cell-based level, preventing and containing product issues, and driving continuous improvement. Your expertise in automotive quality standards, problem-solving, and supplier quality management will be crucial for ensuring customer satisfaction and the long-term success of the business unit.
What You'll Be Doing:
• Develop and implement cell-based quality systems aligned with customer, employee, and shareholder expectations.
• Lead or participate in continuous improvement (CI) projects.
• Drive root-cause resolution for customer, supplier, and QOS-related quality issues.
• Lead and coach Quality Technicians to meet customer requirements and environmental/quality standards.
• Review and approve Supplier PPAP submissions; provide final PPAP approval before customer submission.
• Track supplier nonconformities and lead corrective action activities.
• Establish operator reaction plans, maintain control plans, SPC, gage and operator instructions, records, and First-Off documentation.
• Work closely with customer SQEs to ensure product quality across the supply chain.
• Manage Quality Alerts and ensure timely closure and log maintenance.
• Provide leadership for PECN activity and participate in MRB and CI teams.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and all company quality and safety systems.
• Perform additional quality-related duties as required.
What We're Looking For:
• Degree or diploma in Engineering or Applied Science, or a combination of related education and experience.
• Experience in manufacturing and automotive quality requirements, including Quality & Environmental Standards.
• Proficiency in modern quality tools: Error Proofing, Design of Experiments, Statistical Control, FMEA, PPAP, PSO, Problem Resolution, etc.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, conflict-management, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
• High integrity and dependability with strong sense of urgency and results orientation.
Bonus Points If You Have:
• Experience leading supplier quality initiatives in automotive environments.
• Strong background in cell-based quality systems or QOS deployment.
• Experience with PECN management or MRB collaboration.
