Are you a seasoned Quality Engineer ready to step into a leadership role, mentor a talented team, and drive significant quality improvements across a dynamic manufacturing environment? Do you excel at prioritizing critical issues, optimizing processes, and championing a culture of excellence? If so, we invite you to lead our Quality Engineering team!

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Quality Engineer Team Lead to play a crucial role in elevating our quality operations. In this pivotal position, you will not only provide guidance and support to our Quality Engineers but also optimize our Returned Material process, and spearhead initiatives to significantly improve First Pass Yield and reduce the overall Costs of Quality. Your leadership will be instrumental in enhancing our quality reporting and ensuring the robustness of our quality management system.

You will make an impact by :
  • Assist the Quality Manager in managing workloads and ensuring timely completion of quality initiatives.
  • Promote a collaborative team environment, encouraging knowledge sharing and best practices.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for Quality Engineers for problem-solving and process clarification.
  • Oversee the entire returns process, internal and external, ensuring efficient handling, analysis, disposition and effectiveness.
  • Develop and implement robust prioritization strategies for nonconformances based on risk, impact, and customer requirements.
  • Facilitate root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) implementation
  • Drive timely resolution of nonconformances to minimize production impact and prevent recurrence.
  • Collaborate with Customer Service, Production, Engineering, and other key stakeholders to identify root causes of returns and implement effective corrective actions.
  • Analyze nonconformance data to identify trends, recurring issues, and opportunities for product or process improvement.
  • Lead initiatives to significantly improve First Pass Yield (FPY) across all manufacturing lines.
  • Develop, maintain, and present key quality metrics, trends, and improvement activities ensuring accuracy and integrity of all quality data and reports.
  • Support internal and external audits, ensuring departmental readiness and compliance.

What will put you ahead:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related field).
  • 5+ years of progressive experience as a Quality Engineer in a manufacturing environment, with demonstrated leadership potential or experience.
  • Proven experience in managing nonconformances and driving effective CAPA processes.
  • Strong understanding and practical application of Cost of Quality principles and First Pass Yield improvement strategies.
  • Advanced knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001) and associated tools (FMEA, Control Plans, APQP).
  • Certifications such as Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt are highly desirable.
  • Exceptional leadership, mentoring, and team-building skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

The pay range for this position is $92,320 - $158,263 annually. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
