Full Job Description

As a Sr. Quality Engineer at Greenheck Group, you will lead quality assurance and quality management initiatives across multiple manufacturing sites within the Damper Business Unit. You will drive continuous improvement by developing and maintaining effective quality systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory and customer requirements, and partnering cross-functionally to improve products, processes, and supplier performance.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance with company standards, customer requirements, and applicable regulations.

  • Establish and maintain quality policies, procedures, process controls, documentation, training programs, and qualification/validation activities that support manufacturing excellence.

  • Partner with Engineering, Marketing, Supply Chain, Purchasing, and Operations to improve product quality, manufacturing processes, and customer satisfaction.

  • Develop quality metrics, monitor performance, analyze trends, and lead corrective and preventive actions to drive continuous improvement.

  • Lead root cause investigations using structured problem-solving methodologies (8D, 5 Why, Ishikawa, RCA, SPC, etc.) and implement sustainable corrective actions.

  • Design, implement, and oversee inspection plans, testing methods, product audits, and process audits to ensure products consistently meet quality standards.

  • Lead internal, customer, supplier, and third-party quality audits, communicate findings to leadership, and ensure timely closure of corrective actions.

  • Partner with suppliers to establish quality expectations, evaluate supplier performance, resolve quality issues, and improve incoming material quality.

  • Gather and analyze customer feedback and quality data, collaborating with Engineering to incorporate the Voice of the Customer into product and process improvements.

  • Monitor manufacturing processes through statistical and analytical methods, including Statistical Process Control (SPC), to improve process capability and product consistency.

  • Develop, communicate, and execute quality objectives and strategic initiatives aligned with business goals.

  • Mentor and develop team members while providing technical leadership across the organization; may provide indirect leadership or direct supervision as assigned.

  • Serve as the primary quality resource for customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders regarding quality-related issues.

What You Should have:

  • 6-9 years of relevant work experience in quality engineering, quality assurance, or a related manufacturing environment is required.

  • 2 Year / associate's degree or equivalent years of job experience required.

  • 4 Year / bachelor's degree in engineering preferred.

  • Experience with sheet metal, aluminum fabrication or related manufacturing processes preferred.

  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma methodologies.

  • ASQ certification (CQE, CQA, or similar) is a plus.

  • Strong knowledge of quality tools, including SPC, FMEA, Control Plans, MSA, Root Cause Analysis, 8D, and 5 Why.
