Without the strength of our Quality Engineer team, we would not be able to offer the industry-leading service we're known for. We're seeking an experienced Quality Engineer Professional. The ideal candidate will have proven industry experience as a Quality Engineer.

As a strong communicator and skilled hands-on Quality Engineer, you will need to explain the respective role within the QMS and how their role contributes to quality. The QA Engineer shall contribute to product conformity as apart to their daily job function and shall contribute to product safety. The QA Engineer shall also be aware of ethical behavior and conduct themselves accordingly to Karman policies and procedures.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain and Realize AS 9100 procedures and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Provide training as necessary in support of Customer satisfaction, first time Quality and on time delivery.
  • Maintain and review all internal Quality Planning.
  • Oversee and verify corrective action activity in support of continuous improvement.
  • Perform Shop Traveler review.
  • Perform internal audit and audit preparation as required.
  • Support AMRO manufacturing with inspection and engineering needs by interacting with the build of the job with configuration management and the actual build of the job on the shop floor. To provide engineering support of the configuration and process of product realization.
  • Review Purchase orders to assure quality requirements are incorporated.
  • Prepare and submit nonconformance data as required.
  • Investigate and respond to internal corrective actions.
  • Prepare customer data packages and other customer quality submittals
  • Interface with suppliers and provide the required support to resolve issues / concerns.
  • Performed Vendor source inspections when required.
  • Build a strong QA activity based upon quality at the point of manufacture; establish process ownership methodologies.
  • Provide Floor assembly support.
  • Must understand how customer products are impacted in the event of failure.


KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must be detail orientated, extremely organized; possess excellent communication skills, and be able to interact well with all levels of Staff and Management.
  • Must have working knowledge of ISO9001:2000 and AS9100(Current Revision)
  • Must have working knowledge of Customer and Supplier audits.
  • Must be familiar with Customer specifications and processes.
  • Must have direct communication with internal customers.
  • Must be able to conduct formal training of changes & customer requirements.
  • Must know the QMS basic system of reporting, record keeping and follow instructions.


EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
  • Four (4) year degree or equivalent in work experience.
  • Adequate years of experience in Quality Control / Assurance in a manufacturing environment and or training in a related field determined by AMRO.
  • Adequate years of experience implementing and or managing ISO Quality systems determined by AMRO.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.


WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • This position operates in a professional office environment.
  • This position routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.


TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

  • No travel is required for this position.
