Job DescriptionYou will be the Quality Engineer for the Missiles & Fire Control Quality Team. Our team is responsible for ensuring product quality across hardware, software, systems, supplier, and customer domains.
What You Will Be DoingAs the Quality Engineer you will be responsible for driving quality excellence across the MFC program.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Develop, review, and maintain quality standards, methods, and procedures.
- Analyze quality data to identify trends and implement corrective actions.
- Perform assessments, audits, and independent reviews to ensure compliance.
- Lead parts-review and corrective-action meetings with customers, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Apply lean tools to reduce waste and improve processes.
Basic Qualifications• Technical Engineering (STEM - Engineering / Science) degree at the Bachelor level or above (required)
• Ability to obtain a secret clearance - DOD Secret
• Basic understanding of the Quality Management System (QMS) and Quality Engineering roles and responsibilities across all life cycles.
• Previous experience with collaboration with cross functional teams
• Experience in Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
• Knowledge of dispositioning non-conforming products/ hardware
Desired skills• Knowledge of creating accurate, complete, correct, current and competitive Proposals / Basis of Estimate (BOE)
• Engineering or Quality experience developing methods, work instructions and procedures for the inspection of manufactured products
• Knowledge of Configuration and Data Management
• Demonstrated understanding of audits
• Knowledge of Industry recognized Quality systems
• Experience working with Government customers
• Experience in establishing Performance Metrics for identifying process improvement
• An understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)

Work Schedule InformationLockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
National Pay StatementPay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $67,000 - $117,990. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
