Job Description:

This quality engineering position is responsible for manufacturing line quality support and quality technician supervision. Areas of focus include team leadership, quality improvement, customer satisfaction, project support, and ensuring product conformance to specification and performance standards. Collaborate with team members in operations, supply chain, quality, logistics, engineering, and other departments to persuasively sell continuous improvement ideas.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of quality technicians across two shifts (3 direct reports). Coach, train, support, and develop a team of technicians. Will be responsible for administrative tasks for team.
  • Interface with design, product engineering, supply chain, and other business partners on the design for manufacturability, process capability of new product or extensions.
  • Provide recommendations regarding the viability of developed design solutions that relate to new or current processes.
  • Facilitate cross-functional team meetings, kaizens, and Process System Design events.
  • Ensure built in quality by using DMAIC tools: Process mapping, process capability, C&E Matrix, fishbone diagram, FMEA, MSA, DOE, Control Plans.
  • Develop specifications to procure production equipment and/or complete production lines.
  • Partner with the Safety Teams to ensure all new or modified processes meet or exceed corporate safety requirements.
  • Create training tools, documents and standard operating procedures for production processes ensuring consistent manufacturability.
  • Maintain and update daily reports on plant quality metrics and compliance.
  • Introduce new perspectives on existing solutions to continuously improve production and material flow processes.
  • Provide operational technical support for existing applications and processes
  • Responsible to assist in containment activities when reactive issues arise and ensure all customer issues (CAPA's, etc.) are addressed, filed, and documented in a timely manner.
  • Support and/or lead the resolution of customer complaints


Qualification and Skill Requirements:
  • BS in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering or equivalent engineering experience
  • 3-5+ years of engineering experience preferred with mechanical aptitude
  • Formal leadership experience preferred
  • Demonstrate an understanding and application of methodologies associated with project planning and experience working with collaborative cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrated ability to work with and motivate people
  • Demonstrate knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Communicate effectively through written, verbal, listening, and presentation skills
  • Knowledge and experience with quality systems, statistical process control, process capability and lean manufacturing tools
  • Knowledge of 2D & 3D solid modeling preferred (AutoCad/Inventor)
  • Usage of computer software tools, such as Power BI, Power Apps, Word, Excel (VBA preferred), PowerPoint, or Minitab, to analyze data to detect trends and abnormalities.
  • Proficiency in measurement tools (e.g., calipers, gauges, micrometers, XYZ tables)
  • Ability to travel (


Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to walk manufacturing and warehouse floors for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
  • Exposure to typical manufacturing environment conditions including noise, machinery, and temperature variations, with required PPE.

PAY RANGE:
$90,039.00 - $139,561.00

PROFIT SHARING: In 2026 Andersen has set a profit-sharing target of $3,600 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate.
