Full Job Description
Overview:

The Quality Engineer is responsible for supporting end-to-end execution of the Midland Quality Assurance Program. This role is based in our Skokie, IL facility. It is the primary quality point of contact for the site and regulatory bodies. This role involves driving technical excellence through advanced data analysis. You will serve as a technical advisor and coach across all functional departments including operations, supply chain, customer service, and engineering-to ensure the integrity and continuous improvement of Midland's products and services.

Primary Responsibilities/Essential Responsibilities:
• Execute and maintain the Midland Quality Assurance Program, ensuring alignment with customer specifications and industry standards including but not limited to AAR M-1003.
• Lead the gathering and analysis of complex data sets within the quality function to support manufacturing operations, supply chain visibility, and customer satisfaction.
• Utilize advanced quality and continuous improvement tools (e.g., Lean Six Sigma, Root Cause Analysis) to identify, rectify, and prevent systemic quality issues.
• Drive the implementation of permanent corrective actions and process enhancements to reduce the cost of poor quality.
• Coach and develop talent within the organization especially as it relates to quality in support of Midland's products and services
• Interact with the ERP (Oracle) system and manage the material movement on inspected goods
• Accountable for developing and monitoring quality processes and practices necessary for legal and ethical compliance in assigned area
• Work safely following all established policies and rules
• Completes all job specific training

• Performs other duties to achieve overall business unit metrics
• Supports all aspects of on-site quality needs by Houston facility personnel

Qualifications/Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in engineering required with prefernce for Mechanical Engineering, or other technically related field
• Preference of at least 2 years of prior experience in a similiar role/position
• Certifications in one or more of the following a plus: ASQ CQE, ASQ CQM, Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing
• Require experience using Microsoft 365 product suite

Pysical Demands and Environmnetal Conditions
• This position is performed in a combination of manufacturing environment and office environment.
• May be exposed to loud operating machinery, cold temperatures, chemicals, and vapors
• Position requires a combination of sitting, standing, and walking
• Occasional lifting up to 10lbs without assistance during product review analysis

Work Arrangement: Onsite

Pay Range: $81,156.00 - $99,402.00
