About this role:
The Quality Engineer ensures the quality of products and processes on the production floor, applying quality-control and improvement tools and supporting line performance and new-product introduction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develops and implements control plans, inspection methods and quality standards.
- Performs root-cause analysis and structured problem-solving (8D).
- Supports process validation (APQP, PPAP, FMEA) and capability studies.
- Manages non-conformances, containment and corrective actions.
- Supports pilot runs, line launches and production ramp.
- Analyzes and reports quality KPIs (PPM, FTY, SPC, MSA) and drives improvements.
- Partners with Manufacturing and Supplier Quality on defect reduction.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree.
- 5+ years of quality-engineering experience in a discrete/assembly environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience applying quality core tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA) and developing control plans.
- Experience conducting root-cause analysis and utilizing structured problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D).
- Experience managing non-conformances, containment protocols, and corrective actions.
- Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, GD&T, and inspection requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, Industrial Technology, or a related technical field.
- Experience in a high-volume discrete/assembly manufacturing environment.
- Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
- Experience with statistical analysis tools (e.g., Minitab).
- Experience supporting new production line setups, pilot runs, and product launches.
Pay Range
The annual salary for this position is between $79,000.00 - $158,000.00 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate. The pay range will not be below the minimum wage applicable to the jurisdiction in which the applicant is to be employed.
Other Compensation
Thisposition may be entitled to short-term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements.
