What Your Day Will Look Like:
As a quality assurance officer, you`ll develop, implement, and managing the Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) program for public works construction projects. You`ll ensure that all work performed complies with contract requirements, project specifications, applicable codes, regulatory standards, agency requirements, and company quality objectives. You`ll collaborate with project management, field operations, subcontractors, inspectors, testing laboratories, and agency representatives to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality infrastructure projects.
Salary Range: $115k-$150k
What You'll Need:
- Develop, implement, and maintain project-specific Quality Control Plans (QCPs) and Quality Management Systems.
- Establish project quality objectives and ensure compliance with contract documents, plans, specifications, and agency requirements.
- Monitor and enforce adherence to company quality standards and procedures.
- Lead project quality meetings and coordinate quality activities among project teams.
- Identify quality risks and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, Engineering Technology, or related field.
- 7+ years of QA/QC experience in heavy civil, infrastructure, or public works construction.
- 3+ years in a QA/QC leadership or management role.
- Strong understanding of public works construction practices and quality management systems.
- Experience with Caltrans, municipal, county, utility, transportation, or water/wastewater projects.
- Proficiency with construction documentation and project management software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Valid California driver's license and ability to travel to project sites.
