L.A. Fuess Partners is looking for an experienced Senior QAQC Project Manager to join our team!

What to Expect:
  • Review project drawings, specifications, and calculations to ensure compliance with applicable building codes, LAFP standards, regulations and the clear presentation of technical information.
  • Prepare written review comments on submitted documents and return them to the project teams upon completion of the review process.
  • Coordinate project introduction and follow-up meetings with project teams to discuss needs during and after document review.
  • Support staff development through comments provided during reviews, including written feedback and oral discussions.
  • Identify quality risks and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Collaborate with project managers in resolving technical and quality-related issues.
  • Collaborate with in-house committees to update LAFP standard documents in support of officewide efficiency and work quality.

What We're Looking For:
  • Degree(s) in Civil / Structural Engineering or Architectural Engineering
  • Professional Engineering Licensure
  • 15+ years of recent related experience
  • Significant experience in the design of elevated concrete structures
  • Strong knowledge of structural design codes and standards (e.g., ACI, AISC, ASCE, IBC).
  • Proficiency in reviewing structural calculations, drawings, and specifications.
  • Strong understanding of QA/QC systems, and continuous improvement processes.
  • Experience with commercial engineering applications (e.g. RAM, RISA, ETABS)
  • Familiarity with Revit is a plus.
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to influence without direct authority.
