Position DescriptionThe QA/QC Manager contributes to the overall success of CR Meyer and its heavy industrial customers through ensuring that all electrical services provided by the company meet defined quality standards and regulatory compliance. This role involves developing and implementing quality management systems, conducting audits, monitoring processes, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring all work meets or exceeds owner requirements and applicable codes and standards.
- Leads the QA/QC efforts for all CR Meyer electrical projects.
- Evaluates QA/QC electrical standards, policies and manuals currently in place and makes recommendations for improvements to senior management.
- Develop, implement and ensure compliance with electrical QA/QC standards and programs.
- Maintains and updates corporate Electrical Quality manual.
- Responsible for development and instruction of corporate electrical training sessions (as needed).
- Travels to, works collaboratively with all CR Meyer offices and job sites as needed.
- Monitors related electrical employee certifications and testing.
- Evaluates and supports electrical project specific QA/QC plans.
- Provides technical assistance to project staff and customers.
- Implements electrical QA/QC program at project site(s) including, but not limited to:
- Coordinates with site QA/QC personnel, project managers, and site superintendents to ensure electrical specifications and code inspections are met.
- Performs onsite QA/QC inspections.
- Coordinates with the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) as required.
- Creates and submits required QA/QC packages for various electrical projects.
- Communicates with local jurisdictional authorities to identify required licensing and permits.
- Documentation of all quality control activities and reporting for customer and code requirements.
- Manages and directs additional QA/QC personnel and assure inspections are completed.
- Wears all assigned PPE and observes CR Meyer safety guidelines at all times.
- Due to project deadlines and demands, regular and reliable attendance is required.
- Completes all related reports and paperwork in a timely manner.
- Represents the CR Meyer brand in a positive, professional manner at all times.
- All other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements• Five to seven years of electrical experience, preferably in a quality control setting.
• Inspector certification(s) preferred.
• Thorough understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
• Strong alignment with industry best practices.
• Ability to complete all CR Meyer training and perform job duties within safety training and guidelines.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and comply with CR Meyer's Drug & Alcohol Policy and Program.
• Must be legally eligible to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
