Job Summary:
We are seeking a QA Engineer with strong experience in test automation for web-based financial applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise with Selenium WebDriver, C#, SpecFlow, BDD, API testing, and CI/CD integration. Candidates with an ISTQB certification are preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and develop automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver and C# for web-based financial applications.
• Create and maintain BDD test scenarios using SpecFlow and Gherkin syntax.
• Build and enhance Page Object Model (POM) framework components for improved test maintainability.
• Develop data-driven test scenarios with dynamic test data management.
• Integrate API testing with UI automation for end-to-end validation.
• Implement CI/CD pipeline integration for automated test execution.
• Collaborate with QA, Business Analysts, and Development teams to understand requirements and translate them into automated test cases.
• Maintain and refactor existing test automation codebases for scalability and performance.
• Create comprehensive test documentation and reports.
• Troubleshoot test failures and identify root causes, including application defects and test script issues.
• Mentor junior automation engineers on best practices and framework design.
Required Qualifications:
• Strong proficiency in C# (.NET 6/8).
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
• Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver.
• Expertise in Page Object Model (POM) design patterns.
• Experience with SpecFlow or similar BDD frameworks such as Cucumber or Behave.
• Proficiency in writing Gherkin feature files and step definitions.
• Experience with RESTful API testing.
• Knowledge of JSON manipulation using Newtonsoft.Json or System.Text.Json.
• Understanding of HTTP protocols and web services.
• Experience with Visual Studio 2022 or similar IDEs.
• Experience with Git version control, preferably Azure DevOps.
• Experience with NuGet package management.
• Experience with Postman, SoapUI, and Karate Lab.
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Proactive approach to identifying process improvements.
Preferred Qualifications:
• ISTQB certification is preferred.
• Experience working with financial applications.
