Job Summary Position: QA Automation Engineer Location: Dearborn, MI (Onsite) We are seeking a highly skilled QA Automation Engineer with a strong background in Functional Testing to join our dynamic team in Dearborn, MI. The ideal candidate will have 7-10 years of experience in quality assurance and automation testing, with a proven track record of delivering high quality software products. This role requires a detail oriented individual who can work collaboratively with cross functional teams to ensure the highest standards of quality are met.
Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for functional testing of applications.
- Collaborate with product owners, developers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and create comprehensive test plans.
- Execute automated tests and analyze results to identify defects and areas for improvement.
- Perform manual testing as needed to complement automated testing efforts.
- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testability and quality.
- Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Document test cases, test results, and defects in a clear and concise manner.
- Mentor junior QA team members and provide guidance on best practices in automation and functional testing.
Mandatory Skills: - Strong knowledge and experience in Functional Testing methodologies.
- Proficiency in automation testing tools such as Selenium, TestNG, or similar frameworks.
- Experience with programming languages such as Java, C#, or Python for test script development.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and practices.
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Preferred Skills: - Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner.
- Knowledge of API testing tools such as Postman or SoapUI.
- Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
- Understanding of database testing and SQL.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 7-10 years of experience in QA Automation with a focus on Functional Testing.
- Proven track record of successful project delivery in a fast paced environment.
The pay range for this role is $100,000- $110,000 per annum including any bonuses or variable pay.
