Job Responsibilities:

The Manager Purchasing Process & Procedures provides standardized processes to ensure the organization understands how to complete a given task or sequence of tasks in an efficient and compliant way. As a member of ME’s Purchasing Business Office Team, he/she drives the team developing and implementing purchasing processes including training material. The Process & Procedures team works in close collaboration with the entire purchasing organization and other stakeholders to understand, define and balance needs into consistent and efficient processes implemented globally and aligned with Corporate Standards.

Your Responsibilities

Responsible for the functions process & procedures management. Develop and implement purchasing processes, defining procedures, instructions/guidelines, templates and training material in close collaboration with Category, Product Area, Program & Operational Purchasing, Core, Supplier & Component Development, Indirect and other functions (Quality, Finance, Operations etc) to ensure alignment, awareness and well understood within and outside the organization. Lead the harmonization of processes and continuous improvement activities to support the company’s operating model and objectives.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Support functions strategic initiatives and governance by conceptualizing process, template, guidelines and/or trainings development
  • Drive functions standardization, format, communication and channels in close collaboration within Business Office
  • Drive the functions ESG scope by defining requirements, develop process and implement in close collaboration with Control
  • Represent and align with corporate functions in the areas of key responsibilities
  • Responsible for processes efficiency and training plan including tracking
  • IATF coordination upon request
  • All and any other task as assigned by direct manager
  • Interviewing, hiring and training, reward and disciplinary actions of employees and performance appraisals.
  • As a Leader, must uphold & live the tenants of the Magna Employee’s Charter, ME’s Quality Policy & practices, Magna’s high safety & environmental standards. Must understand and respect the laws and cultures in the countries which Magna Conducts business.
  • Works closely with the business leaders to position the business for future growth and product portfolio expansion.

Who we are looking for

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business administration – Required
  • Master’s degree in business or engineering – Preferred

Experience

  • 5-7 years of relevant experience from a large multinational corporation, preferably within purchasing
  • Minimum of  5 years purchasing experience preferably both direct and indirect
  • 3+ years of leadership experience with a track record of progression
  • Automotive and/or tech industry experience preferred
