Purchasing ManagerWhat You'll Do- Lead the Purchasing Department and support material procurement across multiple business units.
- Develop purchasing strategies that support project success, operational goals, and company growth.
- Build and strengthen supplier partnerships to ensure quality, availability, and competitive pricing.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing agreements, and supplier programs to maximize value.
- Collaborate with project, service, and operations teams to anticipate and meet purchasing needs.
- Establish and monitor supplier performance standards and drive continuous improvement.
- Ensure materials, equipment, rentals, and subcontracted services are sourced efficiently and cost effectively.
- Lead, coach, and develop purchasing and inventory team members.
- Oversee purchasing processes, documentation, and compliance with company procedures.
What We're Looking For- 7-10 years of progressive purchasing or supply chain experience.
- Previous leadership experience managing or leading a team.
- Strong negotiating skills with the ability to build productive relationships both internally and externally.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Strong organizational abilities with exceptional attention to detail.
- Thorough understanding of purchasing practices, policies, and vendor management.
- Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and the ability to learn new software and ERP systems.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to job sites and business meetings as needed.
Preferred Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Experience working in the construction industry.
- Knowledge of electrical materials, equipment, suppliers, lead times, pricing structures, and project purchasing requirements.
