The City of New York Mills is accepting applications for a Public Works Director.
Responsible for supervision and coordination over streets, water, wastewater, natural gas, parks, pool, and building maintenance departments. Manage public works budget and inventory and plans for capital improvements.
Required: Extensive knowledge of utility systems, including natural gas, water and sewer infrastructure. Knowledge of budget planning and asset management. Must have administrative and computer skills along with good supervisory skills. Current 4th class special engineer boiler license, valid class C water and class D wastewater licensure, and Natural Gas Operator Qualifications or ability to obtain. Minimum qualifications include two years vocational training and two years supervisory experience, and five years of experience related to public works/utilities, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Salary range: $35.58 - $43.91 per hour.
