Full Job Description
The Public Safety Account Executive will be responsible for strategic relationship management and development to drive revenue growth for an assigned book of business targeting State and Local Government, Law Enforcement, and Public Safety agencies. This is not a traditional sales role; it is a strategic consulting position for a creative problem-solver.

In this role, you won't just be selling a product-often, your public sector customers already want the solution. Your challenge is to act as a trusted partner to help them navigate the complex path to procurement. You will identify agency-specific problems, map our solutions to those needs, and strategically engineer the financial and budgetary pathways (grants, budget cycles, creative funding) required to get the deal across the finish line. This role demands a curious, hungry, and strategic thinker capable of navigating complex government landscapes and funding mechanisms.

What You'll Do:

Strategic Account Management & Partnership
  • Be a Trusted Advisor: Develop and execute comprehensive account strategies that expand customer reliance on Equifax, positioning our business as an essential, consultative partner.
  • Nurture Key Relationships: Foster deep, lasting trust by building strong working relationships with client economic buyers, key decision-makers, and industry influencers.
  • Maximize the Customer Lifecycle: Conduct annual business reviews to deeply learn your clients' businesses, anticipate their evolving needs, and deliver high satisfaction across the entire customer lifecycle.

Sales Execution & Portfolio Growth
  • Drive Revenue Generation: Take full ownership of revenue growth within assigned accounts by consulting on standard to semi-complex solutions.
  • Position the Full Portfolio: Intelligently match client challenges with the full suite of Equifax solutions, showcasing our unique value proposition and competitive advantage.
  • Manage the End-to-End Sales Cycle: Actively respond to customer inquiries, RFIs, and RFPs, while managing contract and pricing negotiations to ensure alignment with company policies and profitability targets.

Pipeline Management & Internal Collaboration
  • Own the Pipeline: Proactively identify, develop, and close new business opportunities, maintaining an accurate, well-managed sales pipeline and forecasting model.
  • Orchestrate Internal Resources: Mobilize and collaborate effectively with cross-functional internal teams to move deals forward, resolve complex customer needs, and deliver exceptional client experiences.
  • Stay Market-Aware: Keep a pulse on industry trends, economic shifts, and competitive developments to continuously identify new avenues for account growth.

What Experience You Need:
  • 5+ years of related Sales experience, including demonstrated experience in:
    • Conducting effective product demonstrations to showcase value.
    • Maintaining accurate customer relationship management (CRM) system data.
    • Developing compelling proposals and value-based selling strategies.
    • Negotiating and closing small to mid-size deals.
    • Creating detailed account and territory plans to maximize sales opportunities.
    • Conducting comprehensive research on prospects to identify potential leads.
    • Successfully leveraging a complex matrixed environment to achieve business objectives.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.

What Could Set You Apart:
  • B2B Sales experience selling software-as-a-service (SaaS) solutions.
  • Strong executive presence, with proven experience communicating with C-suite executives.
  • Experience in law enforcement, public safety, or similar industry professions.
  • Experience selling to the government and/or public sector, with a strong understanding of government procurement processes.
