- You will be involved with the internet, directing, managing and coordinating digital media programs and special projects at USFFC and throughout the AOR.
- You will evaluate and analyze information USFFC's communication programs, and provide guidance, advice, and assistance to USFFC staff and subordinate commands.
- You will ensure proactive, effective communication efforts that conform to DON and USFFC policies and regulations.
- You will monitor, evaluate, and provide advice and assistance regarding subordinate command public information programs to ensure effectiveness of overall command digital media programs.
- You will develop campaign plans to disseminate information about USFFC and Navy's programs.
- You will plan, administer, and coordinate public information activities for USFFC and subordinate activities, serving as the primary technical expert in preparation and release of information to the public directly through digital media.
- You will independently research and provide guidance to sub-commands to ensure their social media sites are aligned and conform to DON and USFFC policies and regulations, and also, aligned with Commander's Mission, Vision and Guiding Principles.
- You will create, edit, and post video productions, podcasts, on-line photography and news stories, using independent initiative and decision-making after careful analysis of mission, vision, strategies and tactics.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- The position often requires irregular hours.
- Work may involve travel by automobile, ship, or aircraft with a less than 24-hour notice, to conduct interviews, document events using photographic equipment, or escorting media.
- Incumbent will be required to carry mission-essential materials and climb office stairs.
- Will be required to climb ladders aboard ships, submarines, and aircrafts.
QualificationsGS-13Your resume must demonstrate at least
one year of
specialized experience at or equivalent to the
GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
- Expertise in developing and executing digital media strategies, including managing websites, social media platforms, and other mass communication technologies to disseminate information to a global audience.
- Experience in web design and development, including content management systems (CMS), HTML, and ensuring compliance with Section 508 and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).
- Experience in creating a wide range of public affairs materials, including press releases, articles, and visual content, and to provide strategic communication support during exercises and crisis operations.
- Experience in conducting media monitoring and analysis to measure the effectiveness of communication strategies, identify information gaps, and counter misinformation.
- Experience in policies and regulations governing the dissemination of public information.
