Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Psychologist (permit) for the Behavioral Research and Training Institute (BRIT) Institute within Rutgers University Behavioral Health Care.

The primary purpose of the Psychologist positionisto provide therapeutic interventions for the psychological and social needs of individuals served. Supports the integration of evidence-based practices and provide therapeutic interventions based upon the principles of wellness and recovery.

Among the key duties of this position are the following:

  • Provides person centered direct care services to individuals with Best Practices Interventions.
  • As required by the program, administers high level,specialized, diagnostic psychological testing, evaluations and/or written comprehensive assessment reports as clinically indicated in a timely fashion.
  • Consistently involves the individual served and/or family members in the assessment and development of treatment plans and treatment plan reviews.
  • Effectively collaborates as clinically indicatedwith other staff members,referral sources, community resources,service providers, case management organizations,families and support systems.
  • Effectively contributes to and supports an environment that enhances the positive self-image of individuals served and preserves their human dignity.
  • Formulates assessments, treatment plans, treatment plan reviews, progress notes, and termination/discharge summaries.
