Registered Psychologist - Lifemark Health Group, Provincial Mental Health Programs & Services
  • Location: On-site at Lifemark Meadowlark Centre located at #154 Meadowlark Health Centre (corner of 87 Ave and 156 St NW) in Edmonton AB
  • Status: Permanent Full Time, with Part Time option possible

Lifemark Meadowlark Centre is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Psychologist to join our interdisciplinary team. This position offers a unique opportunity to work within a, government-funded Chronic Pain Program, designed to provide comprehensive, evidence-based care for individuals living with complex and persistent pain conditions.

Our program brings together a collaborative team of healthcare professionals, with a staff of over 50 skilled clinicians (psychologists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, kinesiologists, physicians and nurses) to deliver integrated treatment plans that address the biological, psychological, and social aspects of chronic pain. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting patients as they work toward improved functioning, resilience, and quality of life.

Education and licensure
  • Required: Ph.D. or Master's Degree in Psychology from an accredited university
  • Current registration in good standing with the provincial College of Alberta Psychologists - competency with adult populations; clinical/counselling (asset: trauma, counselling psychology, health/rehabilitation psychology)
  • Individual professional liability insurance required at time of employment


Applied experience

  • Experience with chronic pain management and trauma required
  • Experience with evidence-based trauma-focused therapy is required (i.e., CBT, DBT, ACT, PE, CPT, EMDR)
  • Formal training in diagnostic/formal assessments (MMPI-3, PAI) is an asset
  • Conducting psychological assessments with adults for treatment planning purposes
  • Providing various evidence-based treatments grounded in cognitive-behavioral approaches
  • Working in interdisciplinary teams and with third party payers is considered an asset
  • Utilizing telehealth/virtual care methods is considered an asset


Additional abilities

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Efficient with required clinical documentation
  • Able to manage a diverse caseload within dynamic work setting
  • Demonstrated work ethics, integrity, reliability, maturity, and flexibility
  • Preferred (not required): Bilingual - French English
