LOCATION: Dublin, Georgia (Relocation Assistance may be available for select candidates)

The Community Service Board of Middle Georgia is seeking a qualified individual to serve as our next Psychiatrist! The selected candidate will be a professional individual who has strong communication skills and provides exceptional customer service. This is a very busy environment and requires superior organizational skills, the ability to multi-task and prioritize daily activities.

Responsibilities of the Psychiatrist:
  • Maintain medical license, DEA license, and remain in good standing with licensure board
  • Ensure quality of care for persons served and compliance with regulations and standards
  • Use best practices in caring for those we serve and maintain proficiency with telehealth services and standards
  • Provide medical/psychiatric services to caseload of individuals served within productivity standards set forth by the Department of Behavioral Health & Developmental Disabilities and CSBMG
  • Provide consultations regarding psychiatric clinical needs, treatment decisions, and assist employees in meeting these needs
  • Provide consultation and medical/psychiatric support to CSB of Middle Georgia professionals who deal with crisis intervention issues and crisis situations of persons served
  • Evaluate and assist individuals served for hospitalization as necessary and as requested
  • Complete initial psychiatric evaluations, annual diagnostic assessments, and routine/stabilized care re-checks as scheduled/requested
  • Collaborate with front-end support staff to ensure proper maintenance of schedules and ensure backfilled patients, including walk-ins, are seen in a timely manner
  • Practice telehealth/telemedicine as required based upon the needs of the individuals served or the agency
  • Completes notes and other required forms through a collaborative documentation process during the client session/appointment whenever possible.
  • Completes documentation within 24 hours of service delivery by agency protocols, and finalized within the EMR within seven (7) days of service delivery
  • All other duties as assigned

  • Eligible for or holding an unrestricted Georgia medical license (free of restrictions, probationary terms, or conditions)
  • Current DEA Registration
  • Familiarity with telehealth and electronic medical record systems
  • Valid Georgia Driver's License
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse communities
  • Ability to work independently and in collaboration with others
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 Office Products
  • Ability to organize, prioritize and meet deadlines accordingly
