How You'll Make an Impact- Evaluate and diagnose: Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments for patients across the lifespan, in person or via telehealth
- Treat and manage: Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications, monitor effectiveness, and adjust care plans in collaboration with the care team
- Educate and advocate: Provide psychoeducation and advocate for each patient's mental health needs
- Deliver telehealth well: Maintain privacy, clear communication, and quality of care across virtual visits
- Improve the clinic: Participate in quality improvement initiatives that enhance patient care and efficiency
Requirements- Master's or Doctorate in Nursing (MSN/DNP) with a Psychiatric-Mental Health specialization
- Active New York State NP license
- Board certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC)
- Strong understanding of HIPAA and experience using EMR systems
- DEA registration preferred, or willingness to obtain
- Preferred: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NYS Infection Control training
- Preferred: 1+ year experience as a Psychiatric NP; bilingual English/Spanish
