Job DescriptionCordial Health is seeking a compassionate and skilled
Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) or
Physician Assistant with psychiatric experience to provide on-site behavioral health care throughout the
Norwich and Vestal areas of New York.
This full-time position offers a predictable weekday schedule and the opportunity to improve the emotional health, behavioral stability and overall quality of life of adult and geriatric residents.
Responsibilities include:
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and follow-up visits
- Diagnose and manage psychiatric and behavioral health conditions
- Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans
- Prescribe, monitor and adjust psychotropic medications
- Monitor treatment response, medication effectiveness and side effects
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, therapists, social workers and families
- Participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning
- Educate residents, caregivers and staff regarding psychiatric diagnoses and interventions
- Provide compassionate, trauma-informed and resident-centered care
- Complete accurate, timely and compliant clinical documentation
