Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and treat patients with psychiatric needs
  • Manage and prescribe medications for patients
  • Conduct case conferences and provide in-service training to staff
  • Participate in the incident review committee
  • Assist with emergency first aid and CPR when necessary
  • Engage in trainings at external conferences
  • Report directly to the VP of Nursing

Full Job Description
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Patient evaluation and treatment, medication management, case conferencing and in-service training to the staff. Provide input into the incident review committee and training committee as well as outside conferences. Provide emergency first aid/CPR assistance when needed. Related duties assigned. Report to VP of Nursing.

HOURS:

37.5 hours per week

Tuesday 8am-9pm (reports to Vanderbilt Stabilization);

Wednesday 8am-4:30pm (reports to East Side Stabilization), 5pm-8:30pm (reports to Vanderbilt Stabilization;

Thursday-Friday 8am-4:30pm (reports to Beaver Pond Residence)

QUALIFICATIONS: NYS Certified psychiatric nurse practitioner. Have prior experience working with a MICA population. CPR training certification or willingness to take training class in CPR.
