Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
- Deliver mental health services inside a county correctional facility, addressing the unique needs of incarcerated individuals.
- Engage in crisis intervention and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the safety and well-being of patients.
- Prescribe and monitor psychiatric medications as needed.
- Provide on-site services - 4 days during the week, 7 am - 6 pm with a 1-hour break.
- Provide remote on-call support to facility staff as part of a call rotation.

- Master's or Doctoral degree in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing.
- Current and unrestricted PMHNP licensure in North Carolina and DEA
