Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic assessments and evaluations as required
  • Conduct medication checks and assess client medication progress
  • Complete timely and accurate client documentation
  • Educate clients for informed consent regarding treatment
  • Provide treatment aimed at reducing psychiatric symptoms
  • Participate in treatment plan reviews and make appropriate referrals
  • Adhere to legal and ethical standards in client care
  • Encourage client independence and participation in their treatment

Full Job Description

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Graduation from an accredited APRN program and current Florida APRN license.

Experience: Two years of clinical experience.

Additional Requirements: Must be able to complete a level II background screening and pre-employment drug test in compliance with Florida Law. Must be at least 21 year of age. Must be able to provide official transcripts

Working Conditions: Indoor work

Driving Requirements: Personal automobile and current valid Florida driver's license

Computer Literate

HOURS: MONDAY - FRIDAY 8:00AM-5:00PM

Job Duties:

  1. Performs diagnostic assessments and evaluations as required.
  2. Performs medication checks, evaluating need for and appropriateness of medication, evaluating progress on medication and assessing presence of side effect.
  3. Completes documentation in a timely manner, and includes all pertinent information relating to clients and their care.
  4. Provides adequate education to clients so that they are able to provide fully Informed Consent for treatment.
  5. Provides appropriate and adequate treatment to clients with ideal end result being emission of psychiatric symptoms.
  6. Accomplishes individual goals set forth in previous evaluation.
  7. Adheres to legal requirements and is knowledgeable about agency and professional reporting/confidentiality and Code of Ethics.
  8. Assess and review lab tests as appropriate.
  9. Auditing results are within acceptable agency standards.
  10. Complies with established medical practices and procedures and with the agency policies and procedures manual.
  11. Obtains training relevant to job.
  12. Participates in scheduled supervision, accepts additional duties as assigned and is responsive to requests from supervisor.
  13. Participates in treatment plan reviews and makes appropriate referrals within and outside the agency.
  14. Peer Review results are within acceptable agency standards.
  15. Shows flexibility, accepts additional duties as assigned and is responsive to requests from supervisors.
  16. Encourages client's involvement and independence by encouraging participation and not accepting responsibility for the client's behaviors, cognitions or feelings.
  17. Serves client in a warm, accepting and respectful manner. Does not impose his/her values during the service contract.
  18. Works independently without need for constant or excessive supervision
