Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner - Mentally STRONG Location: Colorado Springs, CO Schedule: On-site, Monday-Thursday, 7:30 am-5:30 pm (~38 hours/week) Employment Type: Full-Time, W2
🧩 Your Day as a PMHNP Start at 7:45 with a team huddle to connect and prep for the day. Coordinate schedules with students and teammates while reviewing your patient list. Patients arrive: some are new intakes with a student, others are medication follow-ups initiated by a mental health technician. Each session is powered by AI-assisted charting: you record, "push," and move on. Most patient slots are 10 minutes every 30 minutes. Complex or high-risk patients take longer. You make rapid medical decisions, sometimes handling suicidal or violent patients-with support from the team. Throughout the day, you collaborate, mentor students, and contribute to a high-performing team. You finish knowing you impacted dozens of patients while staying supported and resilient. This is fast-paced and challenging-but deeply rewarding for PMHNPs who thrive on efficiency, teamwork, and tangible patient results.
