Salary Range or Starting Hourly Rate: A08: $82,500 - $117,500; A09: $98,000 - $130,500/ per year

Overview

Beyond New Horizons, LLC (BNH) has an exciting opportunity for a Protocol Specialist to support the Air Force Protocol program as a part of the United States Air Force Test Operations and Sustainment (TOS) efforts.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the planning, organization, and coordination of protocol functions and activities such as visits, ceremonies, and special events, ensuring these events strictly adhere to military customs and courtesies including flag etiquette, receiving lines, and order of precedence.

Job Duties

  • Ensure adherence to protocol requirements in all aspects of planning and execution of official events.
  • Plan, manage, and execute events including promotions, retirements, award ceremonies, conferences, briefings, and official and social functions.
  • Support visits by congressional delegations and foreign and other distinguished guests and groups.
  • Manage hotel blocks and dining reservations, catering, transportation support, and photos and photography support.
  • Create and manage event invitations, RSVP database, seating charts, name badges, place cards, parking assignments, and program orders.
  • Prepare and distribute briefing materials.
  • Coordinate with required offices and organizations to facilitate smooth execution of events and tours.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of protocol standards, regulations, and procedures.
  • Oversee event logistics and manage potential protocol-related issues.
  • Ensure all official communication and correspondence adhere to protocol standards.
  • It is a condition of employment to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in accordance with supervisory direction and company policy.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in international relations, business administration, political science, hospitality management, or a related field, and a minimum of five (5) years of experience in corporate operations, administrative support, or hospitality management; OR a high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of seven (9) years of experience in the same fields.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain an active security clearance and maintain authorized user access to the AEDC local area network.
  • S. Citizenship is required due to federal government contract compliance requirements and the necessity to access secure federal databases and networks on Arnold Air Force Base.
