We are currently searching for a Property Operations Trainer. This may be a remote position or work out of one of our regional offices. General Purpose of the Position: The primary purpose of this position is to provide training on Envolve policies and procedures to operations colleagues. The Property Operations Trainer will be responsible for developing and implementing training procedures including Yardi processes and functions, on-site responsibilities, compliance processes, and accounting functions among other topics.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:- Designs and develops Community Manager, Regional Manager, and Maintenance Team training materials for Yardi Processes and Procedures (Move-In / Move-Out, Deposit Accounting, Ledger Review and Related Processes, PO to Payment Cycle, Financial Review, Key Metric Monitoring, etc.)
- Participates and project manages property integration process and Yardi property setup procedures.
- Monitor Yardi reports and communicate with Regional Managers to identify where refresher trainings may be needed.
- Aids in the successful onboarding of newly hired Community Managers by providing training which includes a comprehensive review of Envolve's employee handbook and operations manual and other training materials.
- Provides Community Managers with instructions/training on required reporting, Envolve U, quarterly inspections, various forms and other expectations, bonus procedures, marketing, maintenance procedures, time clock functions, Fair Housing requirements.
- Oversees online training program, Aspire by Yardi including, continued review of class materials, learning plans, training records, testing scores, creation of new classes, mentor program in addition to future release software features.
- Works with vendor partners on successfully implementing and training new technology products and ensures a continued training process.
- Performs audits and special projects on properties, as requested.
- Works with the compliance team to train on Tax Credit and HUD requirements.
- Works with the accounting department to provide training in accounting policies and procedures such as rent collections, banking procedures, EIV access and handling.
- Provides instruction on financial statements and budgeting requirements.
- Assists with follow-up and continued training assignments via web and in-person settings
- Ensure that Envolve policies and procedures are followed.
- Collaborate on new initiatives in cooperation with Operations and Marketing.
- Continuously improve compliance training programs. Constantly evaluate the training programs to ensure team members have a thorough knowledge of the procedures, programs, policies, as well as a complete understanding of their job responsibilities.
- Assist with Marketing projects as assigned.
- Assist with Education Conference and other events planning
- Assume other responsibilities as assigned.
Education and Work Experience Requirements- Three to Five years property management experience.
- Minimum of 3 years as a Community Manager or other relevant experience required.
- HCCP or comparable tax credit housing certification preferred
- Tax Credit and HUD experience is a must. COS certification is preferred.
- Bachelor's Degree or comparable industry experience preferred
- Experience in general and digital marketing preferred
- Experience with Yardi property management software required
Specific Job Knowledge, Skill and Ability:- Must have strong financial management skills and be well versed in budgeting, forecasting and cost control.
- Ability to work effectively and lead the community staff in a fast paced, ever changing environment.
- Solid multi-tasking skills along with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with co-workers, residents, vendors and corporate staff.
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook)
- Willingness and ability to work weekends and holidays when the business requires.
- Flexibility for travel, including overnight travel, up to 30%
