Property Management Financial Officer

This role serves as the critical link between operations and finance, ensuring that portfolio performance, financial objectives, compliance requirements, and stakeholder expectations remain aligned.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Leadership
  • Provide strategic oversight of all accounting and financial operations.
  • Review and analyze monthly financial performance, operating trends, and portfolio metrics.
  • Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes.
  • Oversee cash management, reserve planning, capital improvement forecasting, and investor reporting.
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial statements and reporting.
  • Identify risks, opportunities, and operational efficiencies to improve profitability and portfolio performance
  • Serve as the primary connection between finance and operations to ensure decisions are data-driven and aligned with company objectives.
  • Translate operational performance into financial impact and financial performance into operational action plans.
  • Develop portfolio dashboards and KPI reporting for Executive Team review..
  • Oversee process improvement initiatives focused on scalability, efficiency, and service quality.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop department leaders within Accounting and Property Management.


Preferred Experience
  • CPA, CMA, MBA, or similar professional designation.
  • Experience in affordable housing programs including LIHTC, HUD, USDA Rural Development, HOME, or related programs.
  • Experience with Yardi or comparable property management software.
  • Experience working with investors, ownership groups, and multi-property portfolio
