The Opportunity

As a dedicated Property Facilitator - Intermediate Level, the candidate selected for this position will be instrumental in shaping the future of our organization by supporting new hire readiness and upskill programs. You will have the opportunity to contribute to forward-thinking initiatives that modernize our development process and drive continuous performance improvement across the board.

This candidate also facilitates and delivers training programs to attain learning objectives and meet learners' needs. Also facilitate learning on a variety of subjects including complex technical acumen, customer service skills and USAA culture. Supports facilitation of programs that foster employee growth. Facilitated learning can take place in person or via virtual environment.

We offer a flexible work environment that requires an individual to be in the office 4 days per week. This position can be based in San Antonio, TX OR Phoenix, AZ. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.

What you'll do:
  • Facilitates learning discussions, learning activities, coaching, and small group interactions.
  • Facilitates and instructs employees in multiple learning environments including classrooms, labs, and virtual capabilities.
  • Identifies employee performance level and provides developmental feedback.
  • Supports peers, customers, management and Instructional Design and Development on business initiatives, development of curriculum and learning solutions.
  • Maintains business and learning skills/acumen through skills update and professional development.
  • Identifies needed course maintenance, makes recommendations and completes course revisions as appropriate.
  • Maintains accountability for performance results and learning solution effectiveness.
  • May be responsible for training and qualifying facilitators to meet course objectives and comply with relevant regulation.
  • May play role of Producer for virtual courses as a learning opportunity for courses not yet fully qualified to facilitate.
  • Maintains continuing education records to include administration, coordination, and filing.
  • Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.


What you have:
  • Bachelor's degree OR 4 years of relevant education and/or experience.
  • 2 years facilitator/instructional experience to include business relevant training, teaching, coaching, training design, development, facilitation and/or learning deployment; or progressive operational experience with a concentration on teaching/training/coaching.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams, facilitate training, and provide one-on-one coaching.
  • Developing knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of learning theories, adult learning principles and instructional design model.
  • Experience with virtual technology and ability to deliver training remotely.
  • Applicable licenses as required by LOB/Function.


What sets you apart:
  • Experience handling Property Claims at the Senior level.
  • 2+ years of business relevant facilitation, training, or coaching experience
  • Maintain/ability to obtain applicable licenses as required: Texas Adjuster License and/or Florida Adjuster License for 5 years OR (in lieu of Texas and/or Florida Adjuster License) an Industry recognized insurance related designation (i.e. CPCU, AIC, CLU or other insurance related designations other than SCLA).
  • Flexible and open to changes in work tasking and schedule, can travel up to 25% of the time and ability to work outside of core hours as needed.
  • P&C professional designation.


Compensation range: The salary range for this position is: $62,470 - $105,420

Compensation: USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market data of the position. The actual salary for this role may vary by location.

Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance and at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.
