United States, Tennessee, Knoxville

Position ID:J0326-1754

Employment Type: Full Time

Position Description:

The Project Scheduler supports a large-scale SAP ERP systems program for a federal agency by developing, maintaining, analyzing, and optimizing program schedules across Agile and hybrid Agile workstreams. This role integrates traditional project scheduling disciplines with Agile rhythms such as sprint cycles, program increment (PI) plans, and incremental delivery forecasting-core components visible in the program's ongoing PI forecasts and sprint-based schedules.

The scheduler will work closely with core Agile teams, product owners, functional leads, and PMO leadership to ensure schedule integrity, identify risks, and provide decision-ready insights to program leadership.

This position is located in one of CGI Federal's offices in Fairfax, VA, Lebanon, VA, Lafayette, LA or Knoxville, TN; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable. You will be required to work in a CGI Federal office two days per week.

Your future duties and responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) that reflects Agile planning rhythms, including sprints, PIs, release increments, and milestone deliverables.
• Translate Agile team plans (stories, backlog items, sprint commitments) into time-phased schedule elements.
• Maintain logical relationships, dependencies, resources, and constraints across program workstreams.
• Update schedules based on sprint outcomes, backlog refinement, team velocity, and scope adjustments.
• Align sprint calendars, workshops, and PI planning cycles with the IMS.
• Support PI planning by providing schedule scenarios, capacity views, and delivery forecasts.
• Assist in mapping Agile deliverables to contractual milestones, dependencies, and critical-path elements.
• Perform critical-path, near-critical-path, and schedule variance analyses to proactively identify risks.
• Produce dashboards, schedule health metrics, forecast curves, and integrated delivery views for leadership.
• Coordinate with PMO leadership to support staffing plans and forecasts.
• Collaborate with technical leads, functional teams, PMO staff, and government counterparts to maintain a synchronized schedule baseline.
• Participate in PMO and program leadership meetings to present schedule insights and recommend adjustments.
• Ensure schedule updates reflect evolving program realities, including design reviews, data migration cycles, development tasks, testing milestones, and release readiness.
• Ensure schedules comply with program standards, version control, reporting requirements, and documentation expectations.
• Support preparation for reviews, audits, and government reporting cycles.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
• Due to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearance requirements, US citizenship is required as well as successful passing of CGI background check prior to beginning work. In addition, candidates must have ability to obtain and maintain a DHS/CISA EOD/Public Trust clearance.
• Bachelor's degree.
• 5+ years of experience in project scheduling on large, complex programs.
• Strong experience with Jira.
• Experience with Agile or hybrid Agile programs (Scrum, SAFe, Disciplined Agile, or similar).
• Strong proficiency with scheduling tools (e.g., MS Project, Project Online, Primavera, or equivalent).
• Ability to translate Agile constructs-sprints, PIs, backlogs-into a cohesive, time-phased schedule.
• Demonstrated experience in dependency mapping, critical-path analysis, and schedule risk assessment.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, especially in dynamic and evolving environments.

Desired qualifications:
• Experience supporting federal programs or large systems integration efforts.
• Familiarity with ERP/SAP or enterprise transformation scheduling.
• Experience working with PMOs and project leadership teams.
• Certifications such as PMI-SP, PMP, SAFe (e.g., SAFe Agilist), or equivalent.

CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. • Competitive compensation
• Comprehensive insurance options
• Matching contributions through the 401(k) plan and the share purchase plan
• Paid time off for vacation, holidays and sick time
