Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain integrated master project schedules in Primavera P6

  • Prepare monthly updates and 4-week look-ahead schedules
  • Facilitate weekly schedule updates during construction
  • Integrate cost-loaded contractor schedules with the master schedule

Full Job Description

GFT is seeking a highly qualified Project Scheduler to support major electric utility transmission and substation projects. This position can be remote with periodic travel to client offices and project sites.

The Project Scheduler will support the planning, execution, and delivery of major electric utility transmission and substation capital projects. The Scheduler will develop, maintain, analyze, and report integrated project schedules using Primavera Enterprise V 7.0 P6 while coordinating with project managers, engineers, construction managers, procurement teams, contractors, and utility stakeholders.

In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • Develop and maintain integrated master project schedules in Primavera P6.
  • Build schedules for engineering, permitting, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning, and closeout activities.
  • Perform critical path analysis and identify schedule risks and recovery opportunities.
  • Prepare monthly schedule update reports and 4-week look-ahead schedules.
  • Provide weekly schedule updates during active construction.
  • Integrate contractor cost-loaded schedules into the master schedule.
  • Support earned value management reporting and project performance tracking.
  • Coordinate schedule development with stakeholders and facilitate baseline reviews.
  • Track procurement milestones, material deliveries, outage requirements, and key project milestones.
  • May require some travel to work site locations as needed.
What you will bring to our firm:
  • Bachelor degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of project scheduling experience.
  • Advanced proficiency with Primavera P6.
  • Primavera Enterprise V 7.0
  • Strong understanding of CPM scheduling.
  • Strong communication and analytical skills.
  • Experience with major electric utility transmission and substation capital projects

Compensation:The salary range for this role is $115,000 - $140,000. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
