About the OpportunityWe are seeking a highly skilled
Project Procurement Lead to join our
Timmins Operations team in
Timmins,
ON., to play a key role in the Bell Creek Shaft extension project on
a full-time basis. Reporting to the Project Manager, with indirect reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, this role leads dedicated procurement support for major capital projects with a strong focus on cost savings, supply continuity, and supplier performance.
The schedule for this position is Monday-Friday, 8 hrs/day OR 4 on, 3 off, 10hrs/day.
Compensation: This position offers a salary range of $130,000 - $150,000 annually, based on qualifications and experience.

Please note that this role requires relocation to the Timmins area and is not a camp-based position.
The
Project Procurement Lead plays a key role in capital projects, including the Bell Creek Shaft extension project. The role coordinates procurement execution, contract administration, supplier coordination, and expediting while ensuring procurement activities comply with Company procurement policies, governance requirements, and delegated authorities. The role maintains a dotted-line reporting relationship to the Supply Chain Manager for procurement governance, commercial oversight, and procurement processes. The successful candidate will have advanced sourcing expertise to effectively manage both costs and scheduling, ensuring purchasing decisions are cost-effective, transparent, and aligned with project timelines.
Reporting to the Project Manager the
Project Procurement Lead will have the following responsibilities:- Evaluate supplier proposals and support contract development and execution for the projects
- Optimize procurement strategies to ensure cost savings for the projects
- Coordinate procurement activities in support of project execution.
- Understand the project schedule and how material sourcing will be met in order to maintain the project schedule and budget.
- Monitor procurement schedules and provide updates to the Project Manager.
- Administer purchase orders and contracts following award.
- Coordinate contract amendments, change requests and commercial documentation.
- Monitor supplier performance and expedite critical materials and services.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Operations, Warehouse, Finance and Supply Chain.
- Maintain procurement logs, commitments and status reports.
- Maintain procurement documentation in accordance with Company governance requirements.
- Track and maintain inventory of critical project materials to ensure material availability and support uninterrupted project execution.
- Manage distribution of materials to the project building team in order to prevent project delays.
- Liaise with contractors in order to maintain project construction timelines.

The following will be critical to successfully performing this role:
- 10+ years of experience in procurement and contract administration experience supporting major capital projects within the industry
- Post secondary education in Supply Chain, Business or related discipline
- Professional supply chain designation (SCMP, CIPS, NISCL, or equivalent) would be an asset
- Demonstrated experience in leading procurement activities for large-scale civil, mechanical, electrical, and mining infrastructure projects
- Proven expertise in strategic sourcing, competitive tendering, contract negotiation, and supplier relationship management
- Strong commercial and financial acumen with a demonstrated ability to deliver measurable cost savings through effective sourcing strategies
- Experience with ERP systems (Oracle would be an asset)
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
