Full Job Description
Job Title: Project Planner III

FLSA Status: Exempt

Salary: $85,700 - $100,000

Reports to: Technical Program Manager

Location: Onsite.

KULR Technology Location: Webster

Travel: Infrequent travel required to attend customer design reviews and other meetings as needed.

Position Overview:

The Mechanical Engineering Division provides battery pack design and analysis for Li-ion chemistries. The Project Planner, within the Mechanical Engineering Division, supports battery-level design, prototyping, and production programs for both internal and external engagements. This position develops and maintains utilities for schedule and milestone tracking, high level cost and labor tracking, and action item management. The Project Planner also supports communications with customers in preparation for meetings, design reviews, and other technical interchanges.

Functions:

  • Work directly with the engineering team to ensure successful and timely completion of assigned projects and programs.
  • Evaluates current procedures and recommends changes to improve the efficiency of planning and scheduling of projects.
  • Develop and maintain schedules in Microsoft Project for assigned projects and programs.
  • Updates detailed project schedules, focusing on resource allocation, task sequencing and timeline management
  • Uses Microsoft Project or other project management tracking tools (such as ClickUp) for tracking of schedule improvement/slippage, labor burndown, project cost (high level), and critical path actions.
  • Documents work orders and projects and closes them in scheduling systems.
  • Monitors schedule compliance levels and identify reasons for completion shortfalls.
  • Assists in project management administrative activities that pertain to SharePoint curation.
  • Develops and maintains utilities in Excel or SharePoint for action recording item from initial assignment through completion.
  • Aids in coordination with customers of weekly meetings, design reviews, and technical interchanges.
  • Aids in internal inter-departmental communication between the positions assigned KULR Engineering team and other business units in the company (e.g., Operations, Manufacturing, Sales and Marketing).
  • Prepares and submits weekly status reports.
  • Prepare charts for status meetings by gathering information from the engineering team.
  • Other job-related duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field, required or equivalent combination of education and experience.


  • 4-7 years of related experience.
  • PREFFERRED:
    • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or evidence of path towards achieving PMP.
    • Science, technology or math background preferred.
