Work You'll Do

As a Project Lead Integration Engineer II on the project, you will:
  • Manage and optimize day-to-day operational processes and workflows within the directorate to ensure efficiency, compliance, and effectiveness.
  • Oversee allocation and utilization of operational resources, including personnel, equipment, and information, to support missions and objectives.
  • Identify operational bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and risks, and develop solutions to improve performance.
  • Develop, maintain, and enforce operational SOPs across the team.
  • Monitor key operational metrics and provide regular performance reporting to leadership.
  • Coordinate staffing, coverage, and internal synchronization to ensure responsive operational support.
  • Align internal operations with headquarters elements, operational units, and supporting organizations to enhance mission outcomes.
  • Synchronize complex, multi-domain capabilities, programs, and activities within the team's purview.
  • Integrate military and civilian-led efforts to support unity of effort, planning coherence, and mission execution.
  • Advise leadership on systems-level interdependencies, operational impacts, and coordination requirements.
  • Support development of strategic, operational, and tactical mission solutions aligned with program baselines, theater priorities, and campaign objectives.
  • Lead or support operational planning and coordination efforts within the team and with enterprise and mission partners.
  • Participate in development, mission analysis, mission planning, and operational planning activities.
  • Apply analytical methods to evaluate options, risks, readiness, and operational effectiveness.
  • Translate strategic guidance and mission requirements into actionable plans, technical requirements, and integrated support activities.
  • Integrate planning outputs, stakeholder inputs, and capability recommendations into coordinated, resourced actions that support mission execution.
  • Oversee and contribute to operational, systems, and programmatic analysis to identify mission requirements, capability gaps, risks, and readiness considerations.
  • Develop technical reports, decision-support products, briefings, white papers, program status reports, and executive-level documentation.

Qualifications

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
  • Active Top Secret with SCI security clearance required
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in military operations, operational planning, or headquarters-level mission support.
  • 5+ years of experience within a J-code, G-code, or similar operational staff environment.
  • 2+ years experience supporting joint, interagency, combatant command, service component, or special operations planning environments.
  • 1+ years experience manage and optimize operational processes, resources, and workflows in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment.
  • 1+ years experience integrating military and civilian stakeholder requirements into operational, strategic, or program plans.
  • 1+ years experience with operational analysis, mission assessment, modeling and simulation, decision-support methodologies, and/or program performance analysis.
  • Knowledge of joint planning constructs, staff processes, and planning forums such as JPGs, OPTs, and WGs, and familiarity with B2C2WG constructs.
  • 1+ years experience with senior leader briefings, technical documentation, and operational status reporting.
  • Ability to work effectively in a mission-oriented environment with competing demands and evolving requirements.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain SAP eligibility, as required.
  • Ability to travel 5-20%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
Preferred:
  • Master's degree in National Security Strategy, Defense Analysis, Systems Engineering, Public Policy, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in operational planning, mission integration, systems engineering, or headquarters-level defense support.
  • Prior experience serving as an operations manager, task lead, or supervisory lead for operational planning, mission integration, or defense consulting support personnel.
  • Experience supporting geographic combatant commands, functional combatant commands, Joint Staff, service component commands, interagency coordination, or theater campaign planning.
  • Experience developing or maintaining operational pictures, mission dashboards, COPs, or decision-support environments.
  • Experience with wargaming, campaign analysis, force design, capability integration, experimentation, or related analytic methodologies.
  • Knowledge of security cooperation, partner integration, and civilian-military coordination in Pacific or similar theater environments.
  • Experience supporting contract deliverables, performance reporting, and compliance in a U.S. Government or defense contractor setting.
  • Professional certifications such as PMP, PgMP, INCOSE ASEP/CSEP, CAP, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher, or related DoD systems engineering and program management credentials.
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $113,325 to $188,875.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
