The Opportunity: Project Manager20 Month term, full-time and based in Whitehorse, Yukon.

Join Yukon Energy and take a leading role in delivering the Wareham Dam Spillway Replacement Project.What will you do: As the Project Manager, you will:
- Lead the Wareham Dam Spillway Replacement Project through design, construction, commissioning, and closeout, along with other assigned capital projects.
- Lead overall project delivery and performance, including scope, budget, schedule, risk, quality, safety, procurement, forecasting, and reporting.
- Bring teams together to deliver, providing leadership to Project Coordinators and coordinating Engineering, Operations, Procurement, Finance, consultants, contractors, technical advisors, and Owner's Engineers.
- Navigate complex project, commercial, and construction challenges, including contracts, changes, contractor performance, constructability, operational readiness, and emerging project risks.
What you need to succeed: - A four-year university degree in Engineering (Civil Engineering is considered an asset). Other professional qualifications may be considered in combination with relevant experience.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) designation and/or Professional Engineering (P.Eng) designation is an asset
- 5+ years of progressive project management experience delivering complex capital projects, with demonstrated experience managing major heavy civil or utility construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of heavy civil construction and project delivery, including construction sequencing, constructability, cost, schedule, risk, quality, change management, forecasting, and reporting.
- Demonstrated leadership of multidisciplinary project teams, including engineering consultants, contractors, suppliers, Owner's Engineers, and other project partners.
- Strong commercial, procurement, and contract management experience, including competitive procurement, contract negotiations, change orders, claims, and contractor performance.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and HSE knowledge, with the ability to communicate complex project matters, performance, risks, forecasts, and recommendations to senior management and support Board-level reporting. Knowledge of utility and Crown corporation operations is an asset.
