This Opportunity

WSP is currently initiating a search for a Project Manager for our Columbia, MD office. Be involved in projects with our Program Management Team in Charles County, MD and a part of a growing organization that meets our client's objectives and solves their challenges.

Your Impact

Job Responsibilities
  • Manage design consultants and construction contractor's projects for water distribution systems, wastewater collection systems, water/wastewater treatment plants and pumping stations.
  • Coordinate Project designers and construction managers' activities.
  • Manage capital improvement projects including project schedule, budget, and deliverables.
  • Permit coordination.
  • Provide technical presentations to project teams and other stakeholders.


Who You Are

Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or relevant field or equivalent experience
  • 5-7 years of experience in project/construction management of water treatment facilities, wastewater collection systems, pump stations and treatment facilities
  • Strong oral and written skills
  • Familiarity with the practices and principles of Design and Construction
  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources, and conduct, and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated knowledge of water treatment facilities, wastewater collection systems, pump stations and treatment facilities systems, construction processes, and project lifecycle management.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate both countywide programs and specific projects.
  • Data and information systems management experience
  • Experience in a web-based document management system such as e-Builder, Unifier and CM-14
  • Ability to support scheduling for a program of multiple projects, including monitoring costs.
  • EIT with desire to achieve PE.
  • Ability to lead and conduct large meetings and work in a client setting

Compensation:

Expected Salary (all locations): $100,800 - 133,600/year
